Kunstkammer loosely translates to “art cabinet” or “chamber of art.” Our time at Drake has introduced us to many disciplines: painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and graphic design—all of which are represented here today. With these skills, we have created five distinct bodies of work. Rather than combining our pieces or curating them to fit a specific theme, we decided to embrace our differences, creating an oddity space where they all exist in discordant harmony. Students have the opportunity to enhance their vocal techniques, sing with ensembles, and meet peers with the same vocal music passion.

The Des Moines Area Religious Council and The Comparison Project at Drake University are proud to co-host the Interfaith Youth Leadership Camp from July 8- 12 at Drake University.

High School students and recent high school graduates will explore the diverse religious communities of the Des Moines Metro.Students visit communities for worship services, meals, and conversations over five days while staying overnight on campus at Drake University.Each camper will explore their own faith journey while learning about their neighbors’ faith experiences, practices, and beliefs. By the end of the camp, they will create their own narrative storytelling video project.Apply now. The deadline to submit your application to participate in the 2026 camp is Sunday, May 31. Over 100 lawyers and judges from around the state participate in this event. The event is for all law graduates, faculty, staff and students of Drake Law School and the Iowa College of Law – of every skill level – to support their law school. A lawyer who is not a graduate of either school may participate in the best shot format by declaring temporary allegiance to one of the two schools at the time of registration.

The proceeds from the event go to support Iowa Legal Aid, which provided Hope, Dignity, and Justice to 34,394 Iowans, including 14,263 children, in 2025.
