According to a national survey, almost 53 percent of full-time college students ages 18 to 22 drank alcohol in the past month and about 33 percent engaged in binge drinking during that same time frame. While, data indicated that prevalence of nonmedical use of any prescription medication in United States was highest among young adults aged 18–25 years, and prescription opioid painkillers are among the most widely misused medications among this age group.
