This session will be a broad overview of what AI is, what it can & cannot do, and how it is impacting our work at Drake University. We'll explore opportunities and challenges of text-based AI with regards to searching for & finding information. We’ll also explore potential administrative efficiencies to its impact on the informational landscape. Whether you're AI-curious, personally integrating these tools, or addressing AI with your colleagues here and on other college campuses, this session will equip you with insights to navigate the changing educational environment effectively. This session will be facilitated by Bret Sikkink, faculty development specialist, Dan Chibnall, STEM librarian/associate professor of librarianship, and Priya Shenoy, graduate health professions librarian/associate professor of librarianship.
