Global Virtual Learning can take many forms, such as a course project or assignment completed jointly or with input from students at a global partner institution, or an ongoing research project with a foreign government body. Experiential learning through a collaborative project across cultures exposes participants to differences in a real-life situation. By stumbling over intercultural blocks and emerging unscathed, participants begin to appreciate the ambiguity inherent to multicultural interactions.
Join Dr. Alanah Mitchell, Associate Professor and Chair of Information Management & Business Analytics, in this faculty workshop to learn about best practices and past successes in Global Virtual Learning. The workshop will take place over Zoom, and registrants will receive a follow-up message with details about joining the session.
