DESCRIPTION:In 2023\, the international community commemorates the 75th ann
 iversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)\, a landmark d
 ocument offering a comprehensive vision of interconnected\, indivisible hum
 an rights for all people\, everywhere. Please join us for two campus events
  commemorating the UDHR’s 75 anniversary. These events are open to all memb
 ers of the campus community. \n\nOn Monday December 4 (5:30-7:30 p.m.) in C
 owles Library Reading Room\, students enrolled in Professor DeLaet’s course
  on Racial Justice and Human Rights in the United States will share their f
 inal projects. Student projects include research posters\, works of art\, c
 reative writing\, and video compilations. There also will be a display of h
 uman rights posters sponsored by the Iowa United Nations Association. The e
 vent will be an open house\, with attendees invited to stop by at any point
  from 5:30-7:30 to chat with students and to discuss their projects. Light 
 refreshments will be served.
