Dr. Joe Dan Coulter, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, The University of Iowa, is an enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation of Oklahoma (federally recognized) and currently active in teaching, research/scholarship, and community service in American Indian/Alaskan Native health. He has had multiple leadership roles at the state, local, and national level. Of note, Dr. Coulter was appointed to the Iowa Commission on Native American Affairs, State Department of Human Rights.
