The exhibition (Not) At Home features the work of five artists: Katie Garth, Lois Harada, Tom Jones, Sean Morrissey, and Henry Payer. The selected works offer a space to consider ideas of home and in many cases, dislocation from home. The works also explore the tensions between the built and natural environment. When grouped together, the works offer a space for reflection on how people interact with the land and how feelings of home and placemaking can be seen in the context of dislocation and displacement. (Not) At Home is curated by Lilah Anderson. The exhibition will be on display at the Anderson Gallery in the Harmon Fine Arts Center at Drake University from Sept 11 to Oct 18, Sun to Sat from 12-4pm and until 8pm on Thursdays. The opening reception will be held from 5-7 pm on Sept 10. Artists will be visiting campus throughout the show from programming.
