Stalnaker Lecture: Tim Knepper

The 2019 Arts & Sciences Stalnaker Lecture will be presented by Tim Knepper, professor of philosophy. Also announced at the lecture is the 2020 Stalnaker Lecturer, the Distinguished Engagement Award, and the Centennial Scholar Award.

"What is Religion: Maybe No Thing at All"

Does the term "religion" have reference to any thing in the "world?" If so, what? Can it be applied cross-culturally and anachronistically? Or does it merely serve to support "Western" realities and powers? This lecture investigates these questions and more.

This event will be live-streamed tonight!
