The public is invited to join on campus for a film screening of the award-winning documentary, The House I Live In. The film, winner of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize, has been regarded as "the definitive film on the failure of America's drug was...filled with hope and the potential to effect change." It features the Honorable Mark W. Bennett, director of the Institute for Justice Reform & Innovation at Drake Law School and former federal judge.
A discussion will follow the screening with panelists Al Parrish, prominent Iowa criminal defense lawyer, Kirk Schuler, Drake alumnus and former assistant U.S. attorney, Rita Bettis Austen, legal director of the ACLU of Iowa, Marc Krickbaum, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Iowa, and the Honorable Mark W. Bennett.
