The Capital City Pride Parade is a celebration of community and culture that honors LGBTQ+ social and self-acceptance, legal rights, achievements, and pride. Come join Drake University and walk in the Pride Parade to support the LGBTQIA+ community in Des Moines. We encourage all attendees to wear your Drake Blue! If you're interested in attending, you are strongly encouraged to RSVP at the link here as that helps us know how many to expect and helps us ensure we have the correct number of supplies.

If you aren’t local, but would still love to support, you can engage by sending candy for the parade to the Alumni House (2700 University Ave, Des Moines, IA, 50311) to arrive by Friday, June 12. If you do purchase candy for the parade, please email Gregory Lin (gregory.lin@drake.edu) with a receipt to let us know so that we can credit you for the contribution.
