Fraternity & Sorority Life

Fraternity and Sorority Life has been an integral part of Drake University since 1921. Today we have 20 recognized fraternities and sororities for students to choose from. We strive to develop communities on and off Drake’s campus. Our community is made up of 7 out of the 9 National Pan-Hellenic Council chapters, 5 of the Panhellenic Council chapters and 8 of the Interfraternity Council chapters. Becoming a member of a greek-letter organization is a lifelong commitment that only begins in college. When students join a recognized fraternity or sorority, they join an organization that creates a bond that will forever unite them with their brothers or sisters on campus and throughout the United States. Fraternity men and sorority women on Drake's campus have a strong commitment to philanthropy and community service. Members of the organizations continue to demonstrate this commitment through their participation in various philanthropic events every year.
