Mock Trial

The purpose of Drake Mock Trial is both educational and competitive. Drake Mock Trial members are responsible for teaching new members rhetoric and communication skills through the writing and speaking of legal dialogue. Members learn the structure and function of the American judicial system (with a special emphasis on the right to trial by jury) through the development and presentation of legal problems. Our purpose is to maintain the competitive reputation of Drake Mock Trial, while being cognizant of the education purpose of the program, as well as fostering civility and sportsmanship in Drake Mock Trial Members.
