In 2024 the building formerly known as Morehouse Residence Hall, underwent a major renovation to enhance student life at Drake and was reopened as the Johansen Student Center in January 2025. This renovation, funded by a historic gift to The Ones Campaign from Greg Johansen, PH’76, and his wife, Cie, transformed the space into a modern student hub for Drake's 150+ student organizations. The building now includes new amenities and areas for both academic and social engagement.
